HAMBURG -- Edward and Joan Beuerlein announce the engagement of their son, Patrick M. Beuerlein, to Katherine Lauren DeWitt, daughter of Jon DeWitt and Jane Suszek.

The bride-to-be is a 1998 graduate of Pope John XXIII Regional High School and a 2003 graduate of Ohio University. She is an elementary special education teacher.

Her fiance is a 1999 graduate of Pope John XXIII Regional High School and a 2003 graduate of Lewis University in Romeoville, Ill. He is a flight coordinator for private jets.

A wedding is planned for Nov. 7 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
