VERNON -- Gary and Eileen Gardner, of Glenwood, announcement the engagement of their daughter, Kristie Lee, to Elliot T. Lyons. He is the son of Joan and Randy Lyons, of Millmont, Pa.

The bride-to-be is a 2003 graduate of Vernon Township High School and a 2007 graduate of Bloomsburg University. She received a dual degree in elementary education and
special education. She works as a special education teacher at Lounsberry Hollow Middle School.

Her fiance is a 2004 graduate of Mifflinburg High School, Mifflinburg, Pa., and a 2008 graduate of Bloomsburg University, where he earned a degree in business management. He is a self employed construction contractor.

The couple has not yet set a wedding date.
