NASHVILLE, N.C. -- Thomas and Karen Kolibas, formerly of Hamburg, announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Michele Kolibas, of York, Pa., to Rob Hoyt, also of York. He is the son of Fred and Patricia Hoyt, of Vernon.

The bride-to-be is a 2004 graduate of Wallkill Valley Regional High School and a 2009 graduate of the College of St. Elizabeth, where she received a degree in elementary education with a minor in special education and American studies. She is a preschool teacher.

Her fiance is a 2004 graduate of Vernon Township High School and a 2008 graduate of York College, where he earned a degree in finance. He is a bank supervisor at Metro Bank.

The couple plans to wed in October 2011 in Clark.
