ANDOVER -- Arthur and Diana Riker announce the engagement of their daughter, Donna E. Riker, to Patrick M. Ryan. He is the son of Gerry and Charlene Ryan, of Newton.

The bride-to-be is a 2000 graduate of Newton High School, a 2004 graduate of Penn State University and a 2007 graduate of Drexel University. She is a physician assistant.

Her fiance also is a 2000 graduate of Newton High School. He is a 2004 graduate of Muhlenberg College and a 2006 graduate of Columbia University. He is an electrical engineer.

The couple plans to wed April 24.
