PINEHURST, N.C. -- Catherine Elizabeth Skvarla and Jeffrey Hayes Cutshall
united in marriage
on May 30 at The Village Chapel. Dr. Larry H. Ellis officiated. A reception followed at the Country Club of North Carolina.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Skvarla III, of Pinehurst and Raleigh, N.C. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Don A. Cutshall, of Sparta.
The bride was attended by her matron of honor, Sydney White Lewis, of Atlanta, Ga. Her bridesmaids were Cynthia Alison Azima, of Bedford, NY., sister of the groom; Anne Elizabeth Cutshall, of New York, N.Y., sister of the groom; Lauren Whitney Ezel, Elizabeth Waters Humphreys and Leigh-Taylor White, of Memphis, Tenn.; Elizabeth Manera Goodmon, of Raleigh; Carol Durham Meyer, of New Orleans, La.; and Bonnie Cooney Pounds, of Birmingham, Ala. Lilian Nour Azima, niece of the groom, was the flower girl.
The best man was Joshua Harris Pristaw, of New York, N.Y. Groomsmen were John Matthew Skvarla, of Memphis, brother of the bride; Farhood Azime, of Bedford, brother-in-law of the groom; James Ryan Gilfoil, of Berkeley, Calif.; Revere Lenart Greist, of Madison, Wis.; Christopher Grayson Knoll, Jeffrey Patrick Lemerond and Brian Domenic Martelli, of New York, N.Y.; and John McMakin Neukom, of San Francisco, Calif. Owen Christopher Eney, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.
Scripture readers were Robert West Candler III, of New York, N.Y., and Katherine Elizabeth Friess, of Arlington, Va.
The bride is a graduate of Ravenscroft School in Raleigh and received her Bachelor of Arts in art history from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn. She is an analyst with AllianceBernstein in New York City.
The groom graduated from Sparta High School and Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H., with a Bachelor of Arts in engineering sciences. He is a portfolio manager with UBS O'Connor in New York City.
Following the wedding, the couple went on safari in South Africa and to Mauritius. They will reside in New York City.
