| Police report for 11/4: Jefferson man faces burglary charges |

ANDOVER TOWNSHIP — A Jefferson man was arrested Friday for allegedly taking property worth almost $10,000 in burglaries of two homes in the township, police said.
Police said Adam S. Melroy, 24, broke into a home on Cliffside Way Oct. 28 and committed a second burglary at a home on Balantine Road.
Melroy was charged with two counts of burglary and theft of movable property, police said.
During their investigation with Jefferson police, officers recovered a loaded .357 Magnum handgun that had been stolen from one of the homes.
Melroy was held at the Sussex County Jail on $30,000 bail, police said.
Additional charges from Jefferson added $35,000 to his bail.
Andover Township detective Eric Danielson and Chief Phillip Coleman conducted the arrest.
