Byram Lakes Preschool students recently learned about apples. In addition to learning about the letter “Aa,” they completed apple projects, sang songs about apples, read apple books, sorted red, yellow and green apples and made real applesauce at the end of the week. All students were able to participate and help in washing the apples, cutting and coring the apples, and also adding sugar, water and cinnamon to a Crockpot for cooking.
When the applesauce was finished, they had an apple party that included cider and some donuts. All students could decide which apple color was their favorite to eat and enjoy a special applesauce treat.
