‘Reading is my anti-drug — grab a good book!’
          — Anthony Christiana, Durban Avenue School

‘My anti-drugs are: Friends — they come into our lives for a reason — others only for a season — but the ones who stick around are the ones that are by my side — I  have fun with, trust, rescue and depend on — they’re my best friends so I’ll save them the worry of me trying drugs. Family — I’ve been with them my entire life, even when they drive me crazy — but they’re the first people I’ve known, ever since I was a baby — they love me, support me and care — and that’s why I care — that’s why I won’t let them down by trying drugs. And future — My big future may be far away, but my dreams can come true any day — and my future is coming — high school, college, jobs and more, I’ll have to start planning more than before — drugs would knock me down, get lost, lose my dreams — so I’m not letting them get in my future.’
           — Valerie Burns, Long Pond School

‘My anti-drug is spending time with my family.’
