5K Turkey Trot to step off on Thanksgiving; other coming events

The upcoming Sparta Education Fundraiser running event has become known as the “Sparta Tradition, before The Tradition”, the Annual Krogh’s 5k Turkey Trot, held Thanksgiving morning at Lake Mohawk. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better as it does every year. One new featured item is that runners will be tagged electronically to speed up the results of the race. “With over 1,400 runners last year and several thousand more that come out to watch and participate, we needed to speed up the process of getting runner times recorded electronically,” says Kylen Anderson, vice president and chair for the Krogh’s Turkey Trot. “It is easy and the whole family will enjoy the time together no matter what the weather is.
