VERNON -- Newton advanced to the HWS Tournament finals and head coach Lisa Bechtel earned her 300th win Saturday when the Braves topped Voorhees, 2-1, in double overtime.
Ashley Mosner scored twice, including the winner 7:30 into the second overtime.
Chelsea Grotyohann passed the ball to Mosner who was charging down the field and she dodged a Voorhees player and the goalie for a clear shot at the goal.
Katie Cloughsey had the assist on Mosner's first goal in the second half.
Newton will face Warren Hills in the HWS Tournament finals on Monday.

The Lions kept Warren Hills from scoring in the first half, but it wouldn't stay that way for long when Niki Miller netted two goals in the second half.
Tara Benson and Toni Popinko had the assists on Miller's goals.

Armstrong's tap-in with 11:10 left in the first half was all senior goalie Jen Hensal needed as she stopped three shots for the shutout.
